Are you ready to take charge on-site and lead with confidence? Panta is on the lookout for a proactive and experienced Site Supervisor to manage operations on our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) project sites.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our projects — coordinating teams, ensuring top-quality workmanship, and keeping things running smoothly from start to finish.
Job Summary
The Site Supervisor plays a key leadership role on Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) project sites, providing both operational oversight and technical guidance to site personnel. The role involves supervising multiple Team Leaders on larger projects and directly overseeing tradespeople on smaller sites. The Site Supervisor ensures that works are executed in line with project drawings, timelines, safety standards, and quality requirements, while serving as a key link between site activities and project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret Project Drawings: Understand and interpret MEP project drawings and guide Team Leaders in executing work accordingly. Ensure proper coordination of MEP trades with other site activities and supervisors.
- As-Fitted Drawings: Take ownership of ‘As-Fitted Drawings’ during project execution, in collaboration with Team Leaders.
- Material Preparation: Ensure all necessary materials and tools are available before starting tasks to prevent delays. Coordinate with the company store in Msida (“Tal-Baqar”) when required, unless a Storekeeper is assigned to the site.
- Site Discipline & Safety: Promote discipline and site standards among Team Leaders and their teams. Enforce compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
- Labour Monitoring & BOQ Awareness: Stay informed about the Labour Bill of Quantities (BOQ). Monitor labour usage and raise concerns with the M&E Project Coordinator if estimates are being exceeded or if errors in projections are identified.
- Training Needs Identification: Evaluate skill gaps within the team and recommend relevant training or upskilling needs to the M&E Project Coordinator.
- Attendance & Administration: Manage attendance records, timesheets, and leave requests. If no Storekeeper is present, the Site Supervisor will also manage site requisitions and inventory logs.
- Tool Management: Collect and return tools and equipment when staff are reassigned to other project sites, ensuring accountability.
- Communication Liaison: Serve as a communication bridge between the Panta office and site. Use tools provided by the company (email, mobile phone, etc.) to ensure timely updates. Delegate tasks to Team Leaders as required by the needs of the project.
- Hands-On Involvement: Remain actively involved in site work when needed—especially on smaller projects where Team Leaders may not be assigned.
