Job Overview:
The Finance Manager is responsible for the day to day accounting as well as the preparation and delivery of the monthly management accounts of a number of Panta Group companies, primarily the parent company and the property development company.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for the quarterly VAT returns preparation and submissions;
- Develops and documents accounting business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls;
- Producing the yearly budgeting processes and assisting in the yearly business plan;
- Maintain relations with external auditors and ensure preparation for audits is carried out up until the audit stage;
- Assisting Board Members and Management as required
- Responsible for Accounts payable, primarily processing of supplier invoices, statement reconciliations and payments;
- Responsible for intercompany billing and intercompany balances reconciliations;
- Responsible for the monthly bank statement reconciliation according to the company’s policies and processes
- Monitors cash balances and updates cashflow forecasts on a weekly basis;
- Responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts;
- Monthly profit and loss report
- Monthly balance sheet
- Monthly cashflow forecast
Requirements:
- Accounting degree (ACCA or University);
- Advanced level of MS EXCEL;
- Knowledge of Shireburn Accounting is considered an asset;
- Highly organised and able to reach targets (time management skills);
- Strong communication skills and an eye for detail;
- A positive can-do attitude and being able to work as part of the broader finance team;
- Ability to lead change and take initiative.
