Sales Representative – Lifts

Purpose:

To promote and sell elevator and escalator solutions by identifying customer needs, building strong client relationships, and closing sales. The role focuses on driving revenue growth through proactive business development and providing tailored mobility solutions to clients such as property developers, architects, and facility managers.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Sell all services and products offered by the organization, specifically elevators and escalators
  • Secure new business and continue to maintain existing clients
  • Increase the number of transactions the company is handling and increase company profitability
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their vertical transportation needs and offering tailored solutions
  • Ensure client satisfaction
  • Promote the brand image of the company
  • Ensuring that all duties are carried out as a Sales Team in the interest of the Company & its clients
  • Prepare and issue competitive sales proposals and quotations, aligned with technical specifications and customer requirements
  • Maintaining a lot of enquiries, quotes issued, and contracts signed on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities to expand Schindler’s sales portfolio and market presence
  • Ensure that all reports, information, and supplier product sheets are kept up to date with all the necessary rates and requirements to be able to offer the best options to clients in line with their requests and needs
  • Ensuring that client database is updated accordingly, and any relevant changes are communicated to the relevant departments
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess project requirements, ensure customer satisfaction, and provide technical support where necessary
  • Compile a meeting report of all customer visits daily and made available to Management
  • Follow up quotations within a maximum of 48hrs, and any failure to do so to be reported to the Sales Manager
  • Each team member is responsible for delegating his/her daily duties to the team when out of office
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, operations, etc.) to ensure the technical feasibility and timely delivery of solutions
  • Take on any other duties as deemed necessary by management 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in the construction, engineering, or elevator industry
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Technical aptitude or background (mechanical or electrical engineering preferred)
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and proactive in seeking out sales opportunities
  • Strong relationship-building and customer service mindset
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for site visits
